ARTIFACTS FOUND IN KARPOS 4

On the boulevard "Partizanski Odredi" during the excavation of a sewage system by the City of Skopje, Roman funerary altars (cippi) and a stone sarcophagus from the 2nd century were discovered. They were extracted in the presence of Vera Atanasovska, archaeologist senior conservator and director Kole Chapkanovski, as well as Lenche Jovanova, archaeologist, advisor-custodian, employed at PI Museum of the City of Skopje. In cooperation with the City of Skopje, they will be transferred to the archaeological site Scupi.
